The 5,000 square foot pavilion was home to a record 22 member/suppliers of services and solutions for reusable packaging. Several exhibitors reported increased attendance and sales as a result of being part of the Pavilion.

Upon entering the Las Vegas Convention Center to cover Pack Expo this week, it didn’t take long for me to hear about games of chance. Most of these games involve the chances chief technology officers play when putting their money on technology, hoping it wins their companies big paydays.
A whole section of the recent Pack Expo trade show was dedicated to member companies of the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA). While not dedicated solely to plastics packaging, Jerry Welcome, President and CEO of the RPA, said that more than ever, plastics are a big player in packaging products such as pallets and containers used for shipping large quantities.
The Kennedy Group, in Willoughby, Ohio officially announced the successful acquisition of Label Technique Southeast based in Pensacola, Florida. This is the company’s second strategic acquisition in one year’s time.
RPA Board member Rob Zachrich has been named president of New Concord-based thermoformer Fabri-Form Co. He replaces John W. Knight, the son of the company’s founder, who served 30 years as president.
